Merthyr Marathon

On the 22^nd May 2016 Cancer Aid Merthyr Tydfil took part in the Merthyr Walkathon, a sponsored walk organised by Jayne Brown. The four mile family walk started in Aberfan and joined the Taff Trail up to Rhydycar. People of all ages took part and paid a £3 entry all of which was donated to Cancer Aid Merthyr Tydfil. The weather held out, and the day was a great success. The total raised was £3010 from entry on the day, and those who collected sponsorship for completing the 4, 10 or 16 mile walk.
